Biography
Not all lads from Oslo, Norway, dream of going to America to play golf. But this one did. Born on September 18, 1997, in the Norwegian capital, he began playing golf when he was eleven years old. His father, who had been working in the States, was the one who introduced him to the sport. Practising at an indoor range, he noticed that there was something serene about this game. He was hooked and wanted to do this for a living. Upon finishing high school, the Norwegian decided to move to Oklahoma to attend the Oklahoma State University.
He played college-level golf for them and, in 2018, won the United States Amateur Championship. The first Norwegian to achieve a feat like this, he decided to go pro the following year. Debuting at the Travelers Championship in June 2019, he joined the PGA Tour in 2020 and won the Puerto Rico Open that year. This was followed by winning the Mayakoba Golf Classic too. He even defended this title successfully in 2021. The young man from Oslo also won the BMW International Open and the Hero World Challenge in 2021. He has already won the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic in 2022 and expects to add to his tally.
