Bio

The Big Man, aka the five of the Brooklyn Nets, is an intimidating presence on the court. His frame acts like a brick wall and drains his opponents of all their energy on contact. From Houston, Texas, this player visited Episcopal High School through his junior year before transferring to the Christian Life Center Academy in Humble, Texas. Rivals.com rated him as the number 2 center in the country and the number 1 prep player in Texas when he got out. This NBA All-Star of 2017 went to Texas A&M between 2007 and 2008. LA Clippers picked him up as the 35th overall in Round 2 of the 2008 Draft. He'd go on to spend ten seasons with them, made one-year stops in Dallas and New York, after which he signed with the Brooklyn Nets in July 2019. Averaging 10.9 rebounds in his career, he boasts an excellent reaction time. Combined with his durability, The Big Man makes for a wholesome defensive package.
