Bio

He is a well-known professional basketball player who plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. He was a part of quite a few teams in his career and is known for his defensive play. As a kid, he had a challenging life with six siblings and was raised by a single mother. Born on the 13th June 1989 in Gastonia, North Carolina, he finished schooling at The Patterson School in Lenoir, North Carolina. Attending Marshall University for a year before going pro, this lad didn't take too much time to hit the spotlight. He finished the 2009-10 season as the nation's leader in blocked shots with 182, broke the C-USA record held by Tulsa's Jerome Jordan for most blocked shots in a single season and the Marshall record for the most blocked shots in a single season and career. He declared himself eligible for the NBA draft in 2010 and was selected as the 33rd overall player in Round 2 by the Kings. He appeared in just one game in his debut season, followed by 18 more in the next one. This centre didn't get a proper opportunity in the league until he signed with the Heat in November 2014. Thanks to his newfound confidence, this player led the NBA in rebounding in 2017 and improved his offensive play too. A two time NBA Blocks leader, he spent the 2019-20 season with the Portland Trail Blazers before signing with the Sacramento Kings in November 2020.
