Bio

The Jordan Brand Classic's co-MVP of 2013 was considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com. He was listed as the No. 1 power forward and the No. 2 player in the nation in 2013. Black Pau went to the Prestonwood Christian Academy and chose to represent Kentucky Wildcats between 2013–2014. He made himself available for the 2014 Draft and was picked by the Lakers as 7th overall in Round 1. It's really unfortunate that this youngster didn't get into his stride during his time with the LA Lakers. He was peaking as the years rolled by, but the Lakers' refusal to re-sign him saw him become an unrestricted free agent. The Pelicans picked him up. His best season to date has been with the New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 21.4 PPG, and his 3-point field-goal percentage was at an all-time high of .344. Now with the New York Knicks, this PF / C signed with them in July 2019. He has had a good first season with the team and should continue to build on it.
