Kuz was born on July 24th, 1995, in Flint, Michigan, where he grew up. He started with basketball at an early age which kept him off the streets. Growing without a dad can be hard, but thankfully, his stepfather was there for him. The player looked up to his stepdad, and he did play a part in keeping this young man straight. Before college, he played high school basketball in Philadelphia with the Rise Academy. Kuz attended Bentley High School before that. The player decided to play college basketball for the University of Utah and was recognized and made the first-team All-Pac-12. He decided to enter the 2017 NBA draft, where at one point was even projected that he would be undrafted. Thankfully, he was selected as the 27th overall pick in Round 1 by the Brooklyn Nets but immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. The player had an outstanding rookie season, following which he was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. This power forward's career is on the move since he was the first Los Angeles Lakers rookie since the great Jerry West to have scored 25 or more points in three straight games, and that had happened almost 60 years ago. He still plays with the Lakers, and we expect his game to improve significantly over the next few seasons.
