This professional American basketball player plays for the Toronto Raptors. His career began when he was selected as the 24th overall pick in Round 1 by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006 NBA draft. Our point guard's rookie season was cut short after just ten games, thanks to a season-ending wrist injury. He came back stronger and appeared in all 82 games for the Grizzlies the following year. In February 2009, this PG was traded to the Houston Rockets, where he started to appreciate the work of his new coach, Rick Adelman. As the Rockets made the playoffs in 2009, he found himself in post-season for the first time in his career. After that year, things started to change, and his standing in the league began to solidify. However, only in the 2012-2013 season, he found the team where he would become fully committed, and that was the Toronto Raptors. In his second season with the Raptors, he helped the team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008. His abilities helped the Raptors finish first in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. Following a string of good performances, this six-time NBA All-Star guided the Toronto based team to the NBA Title in 2019. He represented Villanova University and attended Cardinal Dougherty High School before turning pro.
