The NBA has its own Aquaman, and he's a Kiwi. The big man has ice-cold veins and remains calm and collected irrespective of the situation. The Center is a rim protector who guards his post like a beast. His defensive traits, along with his leadership qualities, render him a useful asset. Born in Rotorua, New Zealand, he was the youngest child of Sid Adams, an Englishman who served in the Royal Navy. After finishing High School in New Zealand at Scots College, he moved to the United States to pursue his dream. He joined the Notre Dame Preparatory school before enrolling at the University of Pittsburgh. A year later, in 2013, he became eligible for the NBA Draft. He was picked 12th overall in Round 1 by the Oklahoma City Thunder. An enthusiastic video gamer, he made it to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2014. The gentle giant has also played for the Wellington Saints and was a champion with them in 2011. He didn't receive any remuneration from them to make sure that it didn't come in the way of him playing at the College Level in the USA. He has achieved his dream, and the only thing that's left is to win the title.
