The Hammers' new frontman likes his motor vehicles to be a mix of heavy machinery and monstrous speed!

Born in Basel, Switzerland, he graduated from hometown club FC Basel’s youth academy and played at various age levels before making his first-team debut on 13 March 2014 in a UEFA Europa league: Round of 16 tie against Red Bull Salzburg. A month later he made his Swiss Super League debut as Basel and FC Thun played out a goalless draw. Between his two spells with Bebbi he totalled 43 goals and 21 assists in 96 appearances; winning the Swiss Super League (2014/15) during his first spell; and the Swiss Cup (2018/19) during his second, in which he also finished as top-scorer with 17 goals to his name. In-between there was an abysmal spell in Germany with Bundesliga club FC Augsburg, the Swiss striker signed on a four-year contract in January 2016 but made only a solitary appearance. The move had perhaps come too early for the then teenage footballer who returned to his country a few months later on loan with Swiss Super League outfit St. Gallen. In the 2016/17 season, the striker rediscovered his form, hitting the back of the net on 14 occasions in 38 appearances. On 8 August 2019, the Swiss starlet moved to England to sign for Premier League club West Ham United on a four-year deal for a fee of £8 million.
