Player Bio
Born on December 18, 1993, in Baxley, Georgia, this young man is a centre fielder for the Minnesota Twins in MLB. Buck began playing baseball at the age of six years old. He was a member of the baseball, basketball, and football teams at Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia. He was regarded as a five-tool player, and MLB.com named him the most promising prospect in the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He was chosen second overall in that edition by the Minnesota Twins. On June 12, 2012, Buck inked a deal with the Twins that included a $6 million signing bonus. The man from Baxley made his pro debut in the minors with the Gulf Coast Twins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League. He's also played for the Rookie-level Appalachian League's Elizabethton Twins, the Class A Midwest League's Cedar Rapids Kernels, the Class A-Advanced Florida State League's Fort Myers Miracle, the Class AA Eastern League's New Britain Rock Cats, and the Southern League's Chattanooga Lookouts. On June 14, 2015, he made his MLB debut against the Texas Rangers. Buck, who won the Gold Glove Award in 2017, has been with the Twins till today.
