Born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA, the youngster had a nomadic youth career, playing for Brackley Town, Michigan Rush and PA Classics before finally joining the ranks of German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in 2015. After scoring 10 and assisting 8 goals in just 15 games for Dortmund's youth teams, he was called up to the first-team. In January 2016, during winter break, the winger played the second half of two friendly matches for the first-team, scoring one goal and assisting another. On 30 January 2016, the American made his Bundesliga debut, coming on as a second-half substitute, in a 2–0 win against FC Ingolstadt. He scored his first Bundesliga goal for Borussia Dortmund on April 17, opening the scoring in a 3–0 home win against Hamburger SV. It made him the youngest non-German and fourth-youngest player to score a goal in the Bundesliga, at just 17 years and 212 days old. On 8 March 2017, he scored his first UEFA Champions League goal in a 4–0 victory over Portuguese outfit SL Benfica, making him BVB's youngest ever scorer in the competition at the age of 18 years, 5 months, and 18 days. Captain America's tenure at Die Borussen yielded 127 appearances, 19 goals and 27 assists, culminating in the club's DFB Pokal (2016/17) success. On 2 January 2019, Pulisic signed with Premier League club Chelsea for a fee of €64 million, the deal saw him become the most expensive American soccer player of all time. On 11 August 2019, he made his Premier League debut for Chelsea in a 4-0 defeat against Manchester United.
