Daniel Nii Tackie Mensah (Danny) Welbeck is an English professional football player who is currently playing for Arsenal in the Premier League. He was actually born in Manchester and he was a famous youth prodigy during his time in the north of England. He played in all the youth teams of Man United and obviously also made the first team. Between 2008 and 2015 he played over 140 games for the Reds and he scored almost 30 goals as well as providing numerous assists. In the summer of 2015 he made the remarkable move to rivals Arsenal. Louis van Gaal, the United manager at the time, stated :"He doesn't have the record of Robin van Persie or Wayne Rooney. We let him go because of Falcao, but also to allow the youngsters to fit in. That is the policy. That is why I am here". After having heard these remarks he felt hurt and he was eager to made an impact for Arsenal. His time at Arsenal has so far been both a succes and a dissapointment. When he is healthy he is one of the most prolific forwards of the squad, he has already scored a bunch of very important goals. The problem is his injury-record however. The Englishman has been injured a lot while at Arsenal and thus his impact has been relatively limited in a bunch of seasons. After having been at Arsenal for several years he made the move to Watford in the summer of 2019.
