Flaco is a Boston Red Sox outfielder and designated hitter. This young man was born in Miami, Florida, on August 21, 1987. He is a four-time All-Star who graduated from Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in 2006. From 2007 through 2009, the Miami native attended Nova Southeastern University (NSU), where he played college baseball for the Sharks. This young man was chosen 611th overall in the 20th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros. Flaco began his professional career with the Rookie-level Appalachian League's Greeneville Astros. His achievement earned him a promotion to the Tri-City ValleyCats of the New York–Penn League's Class A-Short Season. He's also played for the Lexington Legends of the South Atlantic League (SAL) and the Corpus Christi Hooks of the Texas League's Class AA division. Flaco made his MLB debut on July 30, 2011, against the Brewers. This 3-time Silver Slugger Award winner moved to the Detroit Tigers in 2014. Flaco was sold to the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 18, 2017. He signed with the Red Sox on February 26, 2018, and went on to become a World Series champion that year. He has been a Red Sox player since.
