Hello dear WTFoot fans welcome at our Wiki of the young and promising English goalkeeper of Chelsea. He is called Jamie Cumming! The youngster was born in Winchester, a city and the county town of Hampshire. He joined the club when he was only seven years old joined the Under-8 in the Chelsea development centre programme. He signed his first professional contract with the club on 18 January 2017. At the very same day he stated on Twitter: “I’m so happy that I signed my first professional contract with @ChelseaFC. Hard work continues.” He is currently a regular in Chelsea U18 and became one of the back-up keepers of the first team behind Kepa. He made his debut for Chelsea U18 in the 2015-16 season against Fulham and managed to keep 10 clean sheets in 18 games during the during the 2016-17 season. He also represented England at several levels such as U17. He is known for his fast reflexes and according to his former coaches a bright boy off the pitch as well. He is a technically sound and good shot stopper! It’s clear that this lad has a bright future ahead of him, but a breakthrough at the first team of Chelsea will be hard since they bought the ‘most expensive goalkeeper ever’ called Kepa. Maybe going for a season on loan to another club would be a good choice for this young fellow. We will keep on following him!
