A gentle human, this player values relationships more than money. He's a product of Valencia's youth system and joined them at a very young age. His father drove him from his hometown Pedreguer to Valencia's academy about four times a week, and one interesting fact about him is that he started as a striker before he switched to being a left-back. He gets his attacking instincts and willingness to get into the box from those early years. He's a very good dribbler of the ball with pace being his weapon of choice. However, his defensive work has scope for improvement, especially his defensive awareness and his ability to intercept play. His tackling is good, and he does use it effectively. A born leader, this left-back is one of the club's captains who stands up for his teammates and is an inspiring voice in the dressing room. He debuted in La Liga in 2014 as a 17-year-old and hasn't looked back since. He has been a loyal servant of his boyhood club and has pledged his future to them. Valencia has not been in the best of form, which has limited his silverware to just the Copa del Rey of 2018-19 against Barcelona. As a Spain international, he has played in youth teams for his country from the Under-17 level onwards. He even received a runner up medal in the 2017 edition of the UEFA European Under-21 championship. Since 2018, he has been playing for his country's senior team.
