Another one of the famed prospects of Die Werkself, Kai Havertz has grown into a household name in Germany from the past 18 months. The German wonderkid became Bayer Leverkusen's youngest debutant in the Bundesliga at 17 years and 126 days, when he debuted on 15th October 2016 against Werder Bremen. Interestingly, he was the club's youngest goalscorer with his effort earning his team a point in a 3-3 draw against VfL Wolfsburg. The 2018-19 campaign was extremely fruitful for the youngster as he became the highest scoring teenager in a single Bundesliga campaign when he scored his 17th goal during a 5–1 win over Hertha BSC. The Leverkusen playmaker has long been touted as the Mesut Ozil replacement for Germany and manager Joachim Loew has shown faith in the player, by giving him playing time in the past few matches. A technically gifted multi-footed player, Havertz is blessed with mesmerizing dribbling and passing assbilites mixed with a sharp eye for finishing. September 9th 2018 was a special day for Kai as he made his international debut as an 88th minute substitute for Timo Werner against Peru. He became the first player born after 1998 to represent Germany at the senior level.
