Born on May 1, 1987, in Viterbo, Italy, Leo began began his journey with the youth academy of his local team Viterbese and was bought by Internazionale shortly thereafter. Early on in his career the defender made loan moves to Serie B clubs Treviso and Pisa to gain first-team experience. He bought by Serie A side Bari before the 2008/09 campaign, and following an impressive season with I Galletti a move to Juventus was on the cards. The Italian centre-back spent the next decade of his career in Turin, with the exception of 2017/18 campaign when he moved to AC Milan for a solitary season. In I Bianconeri colours, the defender won 8 Serie A titles, 4 Coppa Italia crowns, and finished runner-up twice in the UEFA Champions League. Leo has made over 450 appearances for The Old Lady On the international stage he has over 100 caps for Italy and was instrumental in their 2020 UEFA European Championship success. The defender went as far as to score the equalizer in the final against England, as The Azzurri edged out The Three Lions in a penalty shootout to claim glory.
