Born in Hertfordshire, England, on January 7th, 1985, Lewis began racing with Karting at the age of eight with his father funding the little man's dreams while working multiple jobs. His rapid rise through the junior ranks only confirmed his freakishly natural talents. Titles soon followed with the Briton being crowned champion in Formula Renault (2003), Formula 3 (2005), and GP2 (2006). In 2007 he signed for McLaren to race in Formula One alongside defending double world champion Fernando Alonso. An unprecedented rookie season saw Hamilton come second in the Driver's Championship with 12 podium finishes, and perhaps to nobody's surprise he would better it the following year to be crowned Formula One World Champion. Since then the Billion Dollar Man has become only the second racer since the great Michael Schumacher to win seven world championships. He has entered 292 Grand Prix and secured 183 podium finishes and tasted the victor's champagne over one hundred times!
