Hi there dear WTFoot fan and or follower. Welcome to the most interesting of wiki's, that one of Matisek; the Czech attacking midfielder that is currently playing for Burnley in the English Premier League. He was born on May 1st, 1992 in a town called Chotebor in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). The town has a population of a little under 10.000 people and the midfielder is probably their most famous former inhabitant. The little town does have a football club however and that is obviously where the midfielder started his career. He played a few years of youth football, most noticeably at Vysočina Jihlava, before joining the first team of that club in 2008. The team played in the second highest division of Czech professional football though and he made the move to Baník Ostrava in 2009, there he went to play in the highest level of Czech football. He was then bought by the Italian club Udinese, he never really played much for the team from Udine though and he was loaned out on numerous occasions. He played in the Premier League with Watford and that is probably when Burnley started to notice the midfielder. He made the move to Burnley in 2018. He has played on a lot of occasions for the Czech national team and he probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
