Born in Hasselt, Belgium, September 30th, 1997, to a racing family his father Jos won the German Formula 3 and his mother also took to the tracks. Destined for the zenith of motorsport racing Verstappen blitzed the Karting circuit winning an astonishing 25 major titles over 7 years. In 2015 he took to Formula One as a driver for Toro Rosso. He became the youngest racer in Formula One history aged 17 years and 166 days, as he made his debut at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix. Next to fall was the record of youngest driver to score points at the Malaysian Grand Prix with the Dutchman finishing P7. Red Bull announced that Mad Max would replace Daniil Kvyat in 2016, and since then there's been no stopping the Flying Dutchman. He clinched his first podium in Spain, winning the race and ousting Sebastian Vettel as the youngest driver to win a Formula One race. 6 more podium finishes saw him secure 5th position in the driver's championship. The next three years would see him finish fourth, and twice in third position, but Mad Max would not be denied the holy grail. The thrilling climax of the 2021 F1 World Championship saw Verstappen beat seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton in the last race of the season to capture his maiden world championship.
