Born in Accra, Ghana, in August 2nd, 2002, he spent his youth career with the academies of Strongtower FC and Right to Dream in his native country. In 2018, at 17 years of age, the talented teenager was scouted and signed by Danish club FC Nordsjælland. The midfielder made his debut against Brøndby IF in a 2-0 defeat. Soon Mo would prove his undeniable talent with 14 goals and 3 assists from 51 appearances in the Superligaen. His impressive performances caught the eye of scouts from Europe’s biggest clubs including Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund; Serie A outfit AC Milan; and both clubs from Merseyside, England, in Liverpool and Everton; but it was Europe’s premier talent factory, AFC Ajax, who got the deal over the line. The Eredivisie giants were quick to make their move and the Ghanaian midfielder put pen to paper signing a five year contract to seal a €9 million move to Amsterdam. Mo was quick to hit the ground running with a man of the match performance in his debut for Ajax against Vitesse Arnhem, bagging an assist as ten men Ajax secured a hard fought victory. On the international scene Mo has represented Ghana at U17 and U20 level and made his debut for the national team on November 14th, 2019.
