A team player: The 20 year-old defender might have found success at club level at an early age but it hasn't gone to his head! He's still one of the boys and loves taking the team bus to practice whilst on international duty with The Elephants.

Player Bio

Hailing from Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, the towering 6 ft 2 in defender started his senior career in Sweden with Hammerby IF. His impressive displays in the Allsvenskan meant he was quickly plucked out by Belgian First Division A side Club Brugge in the summer of 2019. The 20-year old was an instant success, seamlessly integrating himself in Voetbalvereniging’s backline, as they went on to win back-to-back domestic championships. In the summer of 2021, German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen paid €23 million to acquire the talents of the African centre-back. Odi’s proudest moment came on October 8th, 2020, earning his fist cap for Cote d’Ivoire in a 1-1 draw against his second home, Belgium, in an international friendly.
