Hello dearest WTFoot fans! A warm welcome to the profile of the French striker Sébastien Haller. During his youth the young boy trained with F.C.O Vigneux, Brétigny Foot and later he made the step up the academy of Auxerre. The world caught a glimpse of his high potential at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2011. Upon his return the striker signed his first professional contract at Auxerre only a couple of weeks later.. In the 2012/13 season he made his debut for the reserve team of Auxerre and he immediately showed his great potential. In 2015 he moved to Dutch Eredivisie club Utrecht and set the league on fire with 51 goals in just 91 games. This mighty form led to interest from German club Eintracht Frankfurt. Haller would continue his goalscoring prowess in the Bundesliga, netting 33 times in 77 appearances. Frankfurt would win the 2017/18 edition of the DFB Pokal beating Bayern 3-1 in the final. The Frenchman was the second top scorer in the tournament. In July 2019, Premier League club West Ham United dished out in excess of €40 million to sign the French forward. The striker had a poor showing in England and moved away back to the Netherlands in 2020. At Ajax, Haller once again exploded. 47 goals and 16 assists in 65 appearances catapulted Ajax to back-to-back Eredivsie titles and the KNVB Cup. In 2022 the sharpshooter was once again on the move with a transfer to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
