Player Bio
This young baseballer was born on June 22, 1995, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. He is a left fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals. This youngster is the son of Terry, a former Mr Canada, and attended Garibaldi Secondary School in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Whilst in school, he played for the Langley Blaze of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League. After committing to play collegiate baseball for the Oregon State Beavers, this young man was drafted in the third round of the 2013 MLB draft by the Seattle Mariners and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Mariners. In 2015, he played for the Bakersfield Blaze and also represented Canada at the Pan American Games in Toronto and the WBSC Premier12 tournament. This two-time Gold Glove Award winner and two-time Fielding Bible Award winner spent 2016 with the Southern League's Jackson Generals and 2017 with the Class AAA Pacific Coast League's Tacoma Rainers (PCL). Nicknamed Popeye whilst in the Southern League, this young man made his major league debut in 2018 for the St. Louis Cardinals after they acquired him in 2017. The Canadian has been with the Missouri based team since then.
