Player Bio
Duvy is a Major League Baseball left fielder and first baseman for the Atlanta Braves. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 4, 1988. He attended Butler Traditional High School before going on to Western Kentucky University, Chipola College, and the University of Louisville to play college baseball. A young man who spent the majority of his time in his home state was in for a surprise when he decided to go pro. The SFG came calling when they drafted him in the 11th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. That season, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes gave this American his professional debut in the minor leagues. He's also had stints with the Augusta GreenJackets, San Jose Giants, Richmond Flying Squirrels, and Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies. Everything was going to plan for this World Series champion. The Giants gave him his MLB debut against the Cincinnati Reds on June 26, 2014. However, they didn't keep him for long. This Gold Glove Award winner was sold to the Reds in 2015. After spending three seasons with the Cincinnati based team, he was traded to the Braves in 2018. He'd spend two seasons there followed by one year with the Marlins before going back to Atlanta on July 30, 2021.
