Born in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on July 11th, 2002, his family emigrated to Italy during his early years and pursued a career in football along with his older brother. In 2014 he joined the youth academy of Boca Barco and caught the eye of scouts during regional tournaments where he was by far and away the stand out performer. Serie A outfit Atalanta B.C. beat out stiff competitions from a host of other clubs in Italy to sign the promising youngster to their ranks in the following year. La Dea were justified in their pursuit of the Ivorian winger as he blossomed in to the clubs most promising prospect in the coming years, proving to be a talisman while winning championships (Campionato Primavera, Supercoppa Primavera) at junior level. On October 27th, 2019, the mercurial winger from Abidjan made his debut in the Italian top flight, scoring within the 5 minute mark of entering the field to give Atalanta a resounding 7-1 win over Udinese. In the summer of 2020 Premier League club Manchester United who were also keeping tabs on the Ivorian prodigy decided to pay close €25 million to procure the sizzling skills of the kid from Cote d’Ivoire. United’s valuation of the player raised a lot of eyebrows given despite his considerable talents the Ivorian remains unproven at the echelons of competitive football.
