Player Bio

The robust central defender from Berlin, Germany was born in March 3, 1993. Toni began his youth career in his hometown, where he played football at VFB Sperber Neukölln, a small club south Berlin. Rüdi later joined Tasmania Berlin and subsequently Neuköllner Sportfreunde 1907. After a while it became apparent that he had talent and was signed by Borussia Dortmund in 2008. But it was at VfB Stuttgart where he began his professional career in 2012. After a couple of good years at Stuttgart playing football in the Bundesliga he was signed by Serie A club AS Roma in a deal worth €10 million. The defender developed further in Rome where upon Premier League club Chelsea paid €35 million for his signature. In London the German went on to become one of the world's best centre-back and was a key part of the clubs success. During his time with The Blues Toni won 2017/18 FA Cup, 2018/19 Europa League, 2020/21 UEFA Champions League, 2021 Club World Cup. This led to a move to the biggest club in the world Real Madrid in 2022.
