Player Bio

B-Lockay, aka Train, is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on June 30, 1988, and went to Osage City High School in Osage City, Kansas. He was a member of the school's baseball team as a freshman but quit after developing prediabetes in his second year. However, he decided to pursue the sport and, in his junior year, returned to the team. In 2007, he enrolled at Baker University, where he was a member of the Baker Wildcats of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. In 2008, he moved to the University of Arkansas. However, he did not play baseball with the Razorbacks. The Wichita native subsequently transferred to South Dakota State University, where he played college baseball for the Jackrabbits. Train got his big break when he was picked in the 7th round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics. He spent time with the Class AA Eastern League's Harrisburg Senators after he was acquired by the Washington Nationals. Before making his MLB debut on April 12, 2014, he spent time with the Syracuse Chiefs of the Class AAA International League. This 2020 World Series champion returned to the Athletics in 2017 and was with them until 2019 before signing with the Dodgers.
