Born in Mannheim, Germany, küçük büyücü had a nomadic youth career beginning at 7-years of age and spanning close to a decade. He began his playing career with 2.Bundesliga outfit Karlsruher FC in 2012. Soon his mercurial talents got him a move to Bundesliga side Hamburger SV in 2013, and the following year Bayer Leverkusen came calling. Die Werkself provided the platform for the playmaker to grow his reputation, and soon he began to establish himself as Europe’s new free-kick king, a dead-ball specialist. In late 2014 he was nominated for the prestigious ‘Golden Boy’ award. After 115 appearances for Bayer which yielded 57 goals and assists the midfielder decided it was time for a new challenge. On 3 July 2017, the Turk signed with Italian giants AC Milan for a fee of €25 million. Küçük büyücü was the heartbeat of I Rossoneri midfield between then and his departure in the summer of 2021. He had 90 goal contributions in 172 appearances but contract disputes saw the diminutive playmaker sign for eternal rivals Internazionale.
