Player Bio

The Monster is a 6'3" left-handed pitcher who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball. He was born on March 25, 1987, in Incheon, South Korea. This left-handed pitcher's beginnings were in his hometown, just like most other players. There are reports of him playing baseball as early as ten. He graduated from the Dongsan High School in Incheon before deciding to pursue the sport professionally. The Monster, a Korean Triple Crown winner, began playing with the Hanwha Eagles after they selected him as the 1st pick in the second round of the 2006 KBO League Draft. A seven-time KBO All-Star, this young man's professional career in South Korea has been extraordinary. He was with the Eagles until 2012 before moving to the USA to compete in Major League Baseball. He signed with the LA Dodgers after the Eagles had accepted a bid from them on November 9, 2012. The Monster debuted in MLB on April 2, 2013, against the San Francisco Giants. This pitcher was with the Dodgers until the end of 2019 when he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.
