This athlete, a catcher and first baseman, was born on March 18, 1991, in Del City, Oklahoma. Real was a multi-sport athlete throughout his childhood, coming from a family of athletes. Did you know that he began playing baseball at the age of five and began wrestling the following year? He also played basketball and gridiron football in fourth grade and tennis in middle school. Real attended Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and was a member of the baseball team as a shortstop. This young man was selected 104th overall in the third round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Marlins. He elected to accept the Marlins' offer, which included a $700,000 signing bonus. The man from Oklahoma has played for the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Florida State League's Class A-Advanced Jupiter Hammerheads, and the Arizona Fall League's Phoenix Desert Dogs. Real made his MLB debut on June 5, 2014, against the Tampa Bay Rays. A three-time All-Star team member, this player remained with the Marlins until the end of 2018 before signing with the Philadelphia Phillies in January 2019. He currently plays for them.
