Stroll was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on October 20th, 1998, to billionaire businessman Lawrence and Claire-Anne Stroll. He got his passion for motorcars from his old man who is an avid collector. He began racing at an early age and saw success at Karting in Coupe de Quebec and Coupe de Montreal. In 2014 he competed and won the Italian F4 Championship. Two years later he would repeat the feat at the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The Canadian joined Formula One in 2017. His father invested $80 million in to Williams which saw Lance partner Felipe Massa for his rookie season. It was a rough start but at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix he finished P3 to and clinched his maiden podium and became the second youngest driver behind Max Verstappen to do so. He finished 12th in his debut season. Since then he has competed in F1 in 4 more seasons but has not been able to better his 12th placed finish.
