Big enough? The diminutive playmaker for La Albiceleste and The Black & Gold is a master of low centre of gravity and zipping around tight spaces but when he's on the road of Ohio, the wee man prefers a bigger shell around him!

Born on June 20th, 1992, in Córdoba, Argentina, Luca is a product of Belgrano's youth system. He progressed through the ranks and went on to make his debut for El Pirata's first-team in April 2012 in a 2–1 defeat to Rosario Central. Over a year later he debuted in Primera División against Newell's Old Boys. In 2015, the midfielder left his hometown club and country for Mexico, signing with Tigres UANL in Liga MX. Four years later he'd be on the move again, this time to the MLS to sign for Columbus Crew. The Argentine endeared himself to The Black and Gold faithful from the get go, scoring the winner against New York City in his debut for the club. Luca's success story and legend would only continue to grow as the diminutive No. 10 scored twice and assisted one more in The Crews 3-0 win over the Seattle Sounders in the 2020 MLS Cup final, delivering Columbus their second ever championship. The South American playmaker was named the 2020 MLS Newcomer of the Year and awarded the 2020 MLS Cup MVP.
