Born on January 8th, 1998 in Lecco, Italy, Manu began his youth career at Atalanta in 2007 but moved to AC Milan shortly thereafter. He graduated from I Rossoneri academy in 2016 and was subsequently called up to the first-team. Following his debut in April 2021, Manu continued to grow in stature and made increasingly regular appearances for the club over the next two years, however, Milan’s decision to bring in Tiémoué Bakayoko saw the Italian depart for Sassuolo in the summer of 2018. At Sassuolo, the midfielder took his game to the next level and cemented his place as a pivotal part of Sassuolo’s midfield as the club registered back-to-back 8th place finish in Serie A. This opened the door for him to star for the Italian National Team, and in the 2020 European Championships he proved to be one of the standout performers as The Azurri went on to be crowned champions. His performances in the tournament convinced Serie A giants Juventus to pay €25 million to add Manu to their ranks.
