The Corona Virus outbreak has had an enormous impact on world football. These are some of the biggest stars in international football that tested positive for Covid19. #stayathome people.
15. Paulo Dybala
Paulo Dybala was one of the very first big names that contracted the virus. In March of 2020 he posted an update on Instagram showing his wife and the Juventus forward. He stated in the update that he was doing ok, but apparently it took the Argentinian playmaker several months to actually get rid of the virus. At the beginning of May he finally tested negative for the first time since getting infected and as such he could participate in the last few games of the 2019-2020 season. He was so happy after he finally cleared the test that he immediately took to Instagram and posted a happy facing stating ‘my face says it all, finally!’
14. Paul Pogba
Rigorous testing is part of the Premier League protocol these days and in August 2020 a test showed that Paul Pogba, starplayer of Manchester United, tested positive for Covid19. Just days before he was supposed to play for the French national team he got the news and he immediately went into self-isolation. Given the fact that it could take several months for him to finally heal we hope that Paul will be back in action in no-time but most of all we hope he will recover completely.
13. Paulo Maldini
The legendary AC Milan defender was one of many Italian (ex)-players that tested positive for Covid19. At an Instagram post he explained the current state of his health, he is doing ok at the moment. The weird thing is that not only Paulo tested postive but his son Daniele did that very same thing as well. Daniele is a defender at AC Milan by the way. The two Maldini’s are doing ok, lets hope it continues that way.
12. Mikel Arteta
Arsenal’s new head coach was one of the first people that got the Corona Virus Disease. The illness got diagnosed on the 12th of March but Mikel actually healed pretty quickly. After self-isolating and being shut off from the world for 14 days he took another test. The results were great and the Virus was gone from his body. We at WTFoot couldn’t be more happy and neither could the Arsenal fans. Arteta lead his team to FA Cup Victory a few months after he went back to work again.
11. Tanguy Ndombele
Just like his French national team’s brother Paul Pogba, Tanguy Ndombele tested positive for Corona Virus in late August of 2020. He was just about to travel to France to play in the UEFA Nations League when he got the bad news. He has since been self isolated and we at WTFoot wish him nothing but the speediest of recoveries. The Chinese Virus continues to wreak havoc on the sporting world.
