Santiago Amigorena was born on February 15, 1962, in Buenos Aires. He travelled extensively with his parents from a young age before settling in France in 1973. During his high school years, he met the famous director Cédric Klapisch, with whom he would later collaborate. He has been writing screenplays for films since 1989. Christophe Loizillon directed his first film as a screenwriter, La Jalousie. Since then, he has written screenplays for 28 films, and the latest one happens to be En corps by Cédric Klapisch. Santiago has also published several works, and his first-ever book, Une enfance laconique, came out in 1998. In this article, we’ll be looking at Santiago’s love life and his relationship with Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, his high school sweetheart.
The one that got away!
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu met Santiago Amigorena during her teenage years. The Emily in Paris star was still in high school when she fell for Santiago. They were happy together, and at one point, Santiago even thought that she was the one. However, things didn’t go according to plan, and the couple broke it off.
Santiago endured the trauma of his breakup.
Santiago Amigorena and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu went their own ways. However, being a writer, the man penned a memoir where he described the relationship and the aftermath of the breakup. Philippine must have had it hard as well. However, these two have since all but forgotten about their relationship.
Mr Amigorena’s love life
This writer decided to give love another chance when he met French actress Julie Gayet. The two of them decided to tie the knot and married in 2003. However, the relationship didn’t last for more than three years. The couple divorced in 2006 and went their separate ways.
Let us pair up, Juliette!
Although he remained legally married to Julie until 2006, this writer began seeing another French actress named Juliette Binoche in 2005. This time though, he didn’t want to marry. Santiago was Juliette until 2009, and like all things, their relationship came to an end, as well. Since his breakup with Juliette, Santiago has remained coy about his romantic escapades.
Time heals everything
Santiago’s relationship and subsequent breakup with Philippine is a reasonable example and proves to us yet again that we’ve just got to give everything a little bit of time. Not everything is going to go our way, and that’s fine. We’ve just got to take things in our stride and be prepared for everything that life throws at us.
