to John and Lisa Roberson. She has two older sisters (Ashlee and Amber), an older brother (André), and three younger siblings (Anthony, Aaliyah, and Arianna.) Arielle graduated from Wagner High School in San Antonio, Texas, before pursuing her college education. This young woman attended the University of Colorado between 2011 and 2015 but moved to West Virginia to complete her studies.

Born to a dad who was a professional basketball player and a mum who played volleyball, Arielle inherited good genes from her parents. But as a kid, she always looked up to her older brother. They were really tight, and Arielle wanted to follow in his footsteps. André was the reason she took up basketball. Competing with and learning from him, this young woman played high school basketball and averaged 18.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, three steals and two blocks per game in 2011. She was even was named a Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State pick as a senior.
Although she redshirted her first season in college, this young star was too good to be ignored. She came back stronger than ever and played a total of 98 games in her college career. In those games, Arielle averaged 9.4 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 1.3 APG, 1.1 SPG, and 1.0 BPG.
