Biography of Mrs. Mourinho

A Portuguese national, Matilde “Tami” Faria grew up in Setubal near Lisbon, Portugal. It’s understood that she was born on the 14th of August in the 1960s in Angola before moving to Portugal.  

Meeting José as an adolescent

Growing up in the same area as the Portuguese manager, it wasn’t hard for Matilde, aka Tami, to spot the charming young boy that José was. She met him when they were both in their teenage years and began dating shortly after. The fact that he left school at eighteen to earn a physical education degree didn’t bother her a bit.

Tami’s marriage and kids

Matilde and José decided to tie the knot in 1989. It wasn’t a hard decision to make for her. She had always believed in the institution, and as a practicing Catholic, it was the obvious choice. Tami had her first child, a daughter named Matilde, in 1996 before welcoming José Mário Jr in 2000. She has raised her daughter to be an entrepreneur whilst her son has taken after dad and is looking to make it in football.

Matilde Mourinho is a humanitarian.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise because humanitarianism was what Matilde’s parents were involved in during their time in Angola. As a kid, she had learned from her folks before embarking on the journey herself. Luckily, her husband shares the same interests, and this couple travels around the world to do a lot of good. They’ve been involved with the United Nation’s World Food Programme and are hoping to eradicate world hunger one day.

Matilde’s marriage was on the lines when rumors about The Special One’s supposed infidelity came out in the open. The first time was back in 2007. There have been several incidents since too, but Matilde has firmly believed in her husband and marriage. The lady did not let gossip get to her, which is why her marriage has lasted this long.

Mrs. Mourinho is thought to be a cancer survivor. This woman had an initial surgery to take care of the issue. However, she had to be rushed to the emergency room for another operation in 2016. Complications from the first were cited to be the reason. She came out of it and has successfully managed to keep her problems at bay. She’s a champion who doesn’t let a trivial issue like cancer get in her way.

A family person to the core, Matilde is a provider and a protector. She nurtures like no other woman out there, and that’s why her husband and kids cannot survive without this lady.
