Ulla Sandrock Biography
She is the second wife of one of the best-known managers in the world – Jurgen Norbert Klopp. He’s a german professional football manager and also a former player. He is currently the manager of the premier league club, Liverpool. Ulla is often seen standing by his side, supporting and loving him as they enjoy their favorite sport together.
The Personal Side
Born in 1974, Sandrock, a German social worker, is also well known for spinning a good story in his children’s books that she is famous for. With well-received works such as ‘Tom and the Magic Football’ that was published in 2008, incidentally also her first book, she wrote a sequel to that in 2010.
The first story is about an 11-year-old boy from Mainz who finds a magic football in the attic, which turns him into an amazing footballer. The German-born author says her first book, ‘Elli and Pit,’ is all about her love of teaching children and her second book, ‘Tom and The Magic of Football.’
She is a 46-year-old stunning and gorgeous modern woman who also believes in the essence of giving back to society and was a teacher in Kenya and used to teach the local kids.
Vows and The ‘I Do’
During Munich’s Oktoberfest, Klopp met Ulla Sandrock in a bar where she was a waitress. Eventually, sparks flew between the two, and unexpectedly, Klopp instantly fell in love with her. The couple moved in together three days after they met.
The beautiful couple spent some time together in love and then tied the knot in December 2005. This was when Ulla was first introduced to the limelight and screaming crowds that Klopp was already used to. While he always admired his wife’s writing skills- the newfound spotlight seemed to do her writing career quite some good too.
This was indeed both of their second chance at finding love which turned out to be true love indeed. Both Ulla and Klopp have been divorced before they met each other they had children too.
After tying the knot with Klopp, Ulla, who was already a mother to Dennis- her son from the previous relationship also became a stepmother to Marc- Knopp’s son with his first wife. Contrary to expectations, everything worked out pretty well; both the kids are the best of friends, and their family is living the best moments of their life as you read this. Guess happy endings do exist in real life, too, huh?
Working Towards A Cause
Being an avid believer in the art of giving back and contributing towards a cause, Ulla has been a frontrunner in supporting charities. Along with her time in Kenya, she has also spent time working at a hospital in Nairobi by being a part of a group that would provide the starving children of the city with food.
Due to her charitable work and her relationship with Klopp, she has been affectionately renowned as the “First Lady of Bundesliga.” During April, some of the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, she also contributed £1,000 worth of food vouchers to the members of the supermarket staff who were affected by the pandemic.
The ‘Common’ Commotion
Surprisingly, Ulla’s love for football came much after she fell in love with Klopp making it an interesting equation. Being there for her husband and supporting him with his career becoming ‘her thing’ after they tied the knot.
Whoever said that it is important to have common interests with your better half! Ulla Sandrock breaks stereotypes in this aspect by being in constant touch with the charitable work she does, along with her passion for writing.
